Week 4 (MKTG 348 OL) - Keyword Research
Choosing keywords for your campaign on AdWords is really important. Any keywords you put in for your campaign will help your ad pop up on a users screen when they search for something using one of the keywords you put in for your campaign. There are so many features on AdWords that when you start your campaign you probably do not know about all these features. Sometimes Google will help you out by analyzing your campaign and make suggestion on things you can use to help improve your campaign. Back to keywords, you should do some research on websites or pages that relate to your campaign and think about the keywords people would type into the search bar to get to those websites and pages. Then list those keywords for you ad so that it can pop up on a users screen when they search for those websites and pages.
The goal for keywords is to help you get as high as a rank as possible for your ad. Some advice I would give when writing your advertisement is to look at the Google article on how to write effective ads. You also need good content to keep people engaged and interested in your ad. There are many different aspects that go into a good campaign ad and putting them all together can be hard sometimes, but the outcome of your ad comes out to be fantastic! Think about things like this how compelling is your ad, is the item or service unique in some sort of way, is there a discount or sale? If you think about all these aspects it can really make your ad a whole lot better.
