Week 4 (MKTG 349 OL) - Starting Your Own Campaign

The first step one must take when launching their own campaign is to plan. When you are planning your ad you have to look at the content of the page and site. Begin by looking at your "target", who your ad is pointed and what service or product you are advertising on your website/page. To create your campaign go on your AdWords account and click the "campaign" button. If you are seriously running your campaign make a bid of like $5 or whatever amount you prefer. You must pick a start and end date or else Google will take a lot of money out of your bank account. 

To continue the process of starting your campaign you can also put in bidding for ad delivery and demographic. Once that is all done you can save and continue. Now time to actually create your ad, start by giving a name to your ad group. There will be a place for you to put in a URL to your ad, and after that you can put in keywords. These keywords will be used, when someone searches something on Google and if it has any of the keywords relating to your ad it will appear on their search. Use keywords that are direct and relevant connections to your ad. After reviewing all the aspects of creating your campaign you are set to go and have an official campaign running!
