Week 13 (MKTG 347) - How to Start Your Own Business

If your job-hunt isn't going so well there is another option, it may be a bit of stretch, but it is another route you could take. Start your own business, it may be difficult at first but it can turn into something great! Sometimes people have certain dreams they want to fulfill and they can't find the right job for it, so starting your own business you could do just that. You can start your own website, create your blog if you love to write, or if you love baking desserts and pastries you could open up your own bakery. There are somethings you should think about and do before diving deep into this idea.

First, you should think about what kind of business you want to go into, write down a list of things that interest you and characteristics about yourself that will contribute to your decision. Next, do some research on other business like the one you have decided on and get some input from them. Decide how the business will run whether you are doing it solo, through a partnership, or other types of methods. These are some things to think about when starting your own business. This direction could help lead you to a job that makes you happier.

A great way to really help you get that job is by using the knowledge and skills you have gained and get a certification in SEO.
